Ellen Mather is a politically minded Northern designer and researcher based in London.
A commercial practitioner for eight years, she is currently lead branding designer at Soapbox, working with leading policy, research and advocacy organisations, creating impact for ideas that matter. Previous design experience has been within the commercial and cultural sectors.
Her approach spans numerous disciplines: art direction, book design, brand strategy, curation, data visualisation, editorial design, exhibition design, identity systems, wayfinding and workshops.
Alongside this, she is currently also studying part-time MA Brands, Communication and Culture at Goldsmiths. Here her research practice explores contemporary forms of communication and cultural practices, focusing on the relationships between brands and society.
